FOUNDATIONAL

I sometimes wonder what, precisely, is being taught in our high school history classes today? The first permanent European colony established in New England was done so by the Pilgrims. The reason they came to the ‘New World’ in the first place was to escape the religious persecution of the Church of England. Let’s stop right there and move forward in time. The framers of the Constitution were concerned about creating a ‘State’ religion and tried to build a couple of safeguards in. One of the most important is found in Article Six, section three of the Constitution, which states: “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

Why is this important? The war on religion has been brought out into the open, and its primary perpetrators are in violation of the Constitution and have therefore broken their oaths of office. That means articles of impeachment can and should be brought against these people. Who are they? Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii. During the confirmation hearing for Brian Buescher, President Trump’s nominee for the U.S. District Court in Nebraska, these two specifically zeroed in on his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a charitable Christian organization. Here is a direct quote from Ms. Harris, ““Were you aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed a woman’s right to choose when you joined the organization?” Well, they are a Catholic organization, did you think they would embrace it?

Basically, these two apparent females (I don’t want to make any assumptions in this day-and-age) believe that they have the right and duty to prevent someone from obtaining public office because of their religious beliefs. THAT is the violation of the Constitution and their oaths of office. Of course, no action will be taken. Democrat women are untouchable today no matter how stupid or outlandish their actions or words. What surprised me is that they didn’t suggest burning the poor man at the stake.
