Anyone who has read even one of the books in the Senses Novels series has already discovered that I am not Politically Correct. It is simply not going to happen. I believe that a man should hold a door open for a woman and that the term is mankind, not humankind.
These views do not make me popular amongst a certain segment of the population. That’s okay, the books aren’t written for that group and, to be honest, I don’t like associating with them outside of the books. This means that I am breaking one of the ‘cardinal rules’ that a writer is supposed to follow, make your stories appeal to as broad an audience as possible. If my purpose for the novels were strictly commercial, I could see where that might be true.
The Senses Novels are as much an expression of my beliefs as they are an action/adventure story. I think that what we perceive about the world helps to define the world. I also believe that this is one of the aspects that God has given to mankind (there’s that word again!) in order for us to grow and grow closer to Him.
So, if you are looking for a nice safe story, one that doesn’t offend anyone and is completely PC and conflict free, you would not like the Senses Novels. I might suggest that you look for something in the Fairy Tale section of your bookstore or library.
