The Senses Novels can be read on a number of levels. At their most basic level, they are an action/adventure series. It is when you combine all of the elements that you begin to see the layers involved.
The books may be thought of as ‘evangelistic’ in that they are meant to help spread the concept that God and Jesus are in everything that our heroes do. Another way to look at the novels is, as one reviewer pointed out, that they are an allegory for what is happening in our world today. This last is one of the most important things that I was attempting to do with the series.
While the entire series can be read as ‘just good fun’, and there is nothing wrong with that, that wasn’t and isn’t my purpose in writing it. Far too often today we are looking for mindless entertainment, the Senses Novels series is designed to make you think and to wonder, the books are all about, “What if…”
