There are so many different characters throughout the books that it is sometimes difficult to come up with appropriate names for them all. I have used names from family members and close friends and even; I hate to admit this, one terrible supervisor, that I once worked for.
There is a saying among writers, “Don’t make that author angry or they will put you in a story, kill you off, resurrect you and kill you again.” I try not to do this. If you make me angry in real life, just don’t expect to ever show up in one of my novels at all. Why would I immortalize someone like that? While my books aren’t Tolstoy, they are out in the world in electronic and physical form; there’s no telling how long they will last.
I can tell you that if you are somehow special to me, and I use your name, you are given some kind of a place of honor in my books. In most cases, I won’t use the name of someone I know as the main character in my novels. I have made an exception in only one instance, and it was a very special one (for the first person to purchase my first published book.)
If you are wondering who is in the books, I would suggest downloading AURA, the first book in the series. You can get AURA for FREE on Amazon.
