Interested in what’s going on with book number four of the series? Me too! I do not want to turn this blog into a ‘these are the problems with writing a novel’ forum. My real purpose here, as most of you have been able to tell, is to get people to try the books out by taking advantage of AURA being free on Amazon. Still, I’ve learned something that I would like to share with you.
I am in the midst of writing book four and hope to have it available in the fall. The timing of the release depends on a number of factors; the pressures of my day job, things I need to with and for my family and; the direction that the characters decide to take the book. I have discovered that authors are crazy people.
I belong to several author groups, and we all seem to have the same complaint, our characters take over the book and make us go in directions that we did not anticipate when we started. I’m still early in the writing of book four and that has already begun to happen. So far, I have been lucky that in my previous three books everyone ended up where I wanted them to be by the time they were done. And, every single one of them took me on a wild ride where I had no idea what was coming next in many cases.
Book number four promises to have a lot of surprises for myself and for you, the reader. Considering who our heroes have been so far, I can tell you that you will most likely be surprised right at the start.
